I am always searching Etsy..... I saw this adorable best friend necklace... We all had them when we were kids you take half the heart .... i'll be "best" you be "friend" it will bond us forever. Well here is a new take on the traditional best friend necklace!

ATTN all BROWN EYED GIRLS!!!

I needed a new mascara so at CVS I got my ole faithful Mabelline Great Lash in Very Black.... Well to my surprise the next morning As I opened it up it was TEAL!!!! "Teal Appeal" to be exact!  I thought oh great green mascara.... Well needless to say I gave it a whirl!  I went to go meet some friends and everyone said "wow, your eyes are so bright is that blue mascara?"..... I corrected them and said "teal appeal" ha ha ha!  Well I got so many complements on how bright my eyes have been I went and bought the royal blue too!  Same reaction with that color "elke, your eyes look so bright"!!!!  See ya very black and hello teal appeal and royal blue!  I looked it up online and it said that those 2 colors actually do brighten up brown eyes and are a great colors for us brown eyed girls... So go out and try it and let me know what you think! I've had rave reviews!!!!!

These are a few of my favorite things... from IKEA!

My three favorite things at IKEA are their, cowhide rugs, sheepskins and flokati rugs!  Everywhere you go if you look for these they are so so expensive... If you come to NYC and walk into ABC carpet and home you can see these three things for astronomical prices that only Athena Onassis can buy!  At ikea you get virtually the same thing for nothing! 

My mom is from Germany and I grew up with antlers, hides/ skins, cow bells that were actually on her family's cows, you name it, it was all very animal-y, rustic and cool.  A lot of people don't agree with this stuff but as much as I want to be against it I just LOVE it and reminds me of my mom and my alpine roots!

These three items will make any home a little more rustic and cozy.. I love the look of them....eh-hem and have all three!

BEST JEANS by Madewell

Who doesn't love a great pair of jeans! Every time there is a pair I love I can't seem to find them anymore and or there is a better pair that comes along... I always go for ankle length, they just look better with booties or high tops.  With winter it means your socks can show with low topish shoes, but that to me is cute! I typically go for jeans that are not "worn" meaning white in the thigh and the back of the thigh... that looks weird and these just have the slightest bit ( this picture makes it look like a lot but I have them and they are not that bad)!  They are not too low more of a mid-rise so no "I see london i see france" when you bend down! they come in different washes too! All around great fit and a great jean.. go get em!

leopard shoes? me?

So everyone needs a little leopard in their wardrobe... I have none!!!!!!!! Most of the time I feel I  "don't have it" to wear super leopard shoes.. I always love them on people BUT once I try on booties or flats or whatever I just can't do it.

I have been dying for something cute and something likable but to no avail!  Walking in the meat packing the other day there was a cute skater-y/surf-y girl wearing these leopard Van's... NOW that is something that can be pulled off by ME!

My new Fragrance LE LABO
